In 2008, as the financial crisis began rearing its ugly head, Stephen H. Hays got off the soapbox for a moment and co-wrote a book with Roy W. Miller entitled:  Snap Out of It America:  Coming to Our Senses, Resetting Attitudes about Money and Wealth

We initially formed a non profit believing financial literacy to be a non-profit kind of program but quickly realized one of the big problems is that too many in the non-profit world do not even understand or appreciate the virtues of profits and moreover, we believed there were opportunities to be profitable with this mission and thus, do even more good by doing well.
